Applications
Where It Works
Farm & Rural Fencing
The standard line post for field fence and wire fencing across farms worldwide. Drives in fast with a post driver, holds tight for decades.
Temporary & Construction
Quick-install posts for temporary fencing on construction sites, events and road works. Pull out and reuse when done.
Vineyards & Orchards
Clean, low-profile support for vine training wires and orchard netting. Galvanized finish resists corrosion in humid conditions.
Installation Guide
How to Install Y Posts
Mark the Fence Line
Run a string line between end posts. Mark Y post positions at 2–4 m intervals depending on fence type and terrain.
Drive the Post
Use a manual post driver or hydraulic driver. Drive vertically to a depth of 500–600 mm. The pointed tip penetrates hard ground easily.
Attach Wire / Mesh
Use the pre-punched nail holes (if provided) or clip wire through the Y-flange to secure field fence, wire or mesh at each line wire.
Check Alignment
After all posts are in, check alignment with the string line. Adjust any posts that have shifted during driving. Tension the wire evenly.
Pro Tip
On rocky or very hard ground, pre-drill a pilot hole with a steel rod slightly smaller than the post width. This prevents the Y post from bending at the tip during driving.
